CleanRiver Inc: Leading the Way in Sustainable Waste Management

Hugh Caines, CEO

As a proud CEO it’s my goal to showcase how our innovative technologies and strategic partnerships are revolutionizing waste management practices throughout North America!

At CleanRiver Inc., innovation is ingrained in our DNA. Our cutting-edge waste and recycling solutions empower organizations to minimize waste and increase recycling rates. One of our standout innovations is liquid capture, integrated into one of our waste bins, allowing for the separation of liquids and ice from solid waste. This not only improves recycling efficiency, reducing contamination, it reduces the weight significantly of the waste stream, thereby reducing waste hauling fees, aligning with our mission to promote sustainable resource management.

Zero Waste Goals

We are striving to achieve zero waste across global operations by reducing waste sent to landfills and promoting recycling and reuse of materials.

Sustainable Packaging

We have a long-lasting commitment to using sustainable packaging materials and reducing overall packaging waste, encouraging our customers to adopt eco-friendly packaging solutions.

Recycling Programs

We are partnering with customers to establish recycling programs for plastics, cardboard, electronics, and other materials, aiming to divert waste from landfills and promote responsible recycling practices.

Environmental Goals

We have broad goals encompassing reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting sustainable sourcing practices, and enhancing environmental stewardship across operations and supply chain activities.

We exemplify our commitment to sustainability through circular economy practices. This is done by working closely with one of our major customers to collect their plastic waste, and having our supplier partner melt it down and transform it into high-quality bins and containers that are reintegrated into all the customer’s locations.

Post Consumer Recycled plastics (PCR) is derived from plastic waste that is collected from consumers and processed into pellets to take on a totally new form and purpose as a manufactured good. Choosing bins made of PCR is a solid and sustainable cornerstone of every results-driven waste diversion and recycling program! In 2024 we produced 19,000 bins for a large retailer in the United States using their recycled waste. This closed-loop system not only reduced plastic waste but also demonstrated their dedication to creating value from recycled materials.
