Nerva Celebrates with Fire, Food, Music & Giving at their Grand Opening October 20th
NERVA Energy recently opened their new office in Hamilton and celebrated their Grand Opening October 20th with fire, food, music and giving, all in their newly furnished 33,000 sq. ft. facility located in Hamilton to support their continued growth and expansion in Ontario and beyond. A good portion of their growth can be attributed to Cleaner Air for Schools reaching a new milestone of 1,000 schools in the program increasing ventilation and potentially reducing energy and carbon in classrooms.
“It’s an honour and a privilege to be able to be able to develop energy efficiency and conservation programs that have such a profound impact on the spaces we live, work and learn. This special milestone is in part due to the success we’ve had with the Cleaner Air for Schools Program, and we’re eternally grateful for our partnership with Ontario’s education sector.” Rob Hallewick, CEO, Nerva Energy Group.
“We are working diligently with school boards to increase wellness and productivity as well as creating sustainable learning spaces for students and staff in schools across the province”, says Marie Cresswell, President, Thomas Cole Inc. President and co-founder of Climate Change Leaders. “It’s only through our clients’ leadership and collaboration that we are able to reach these milestones”, adds Marie.
Previously, the office space was occupied by an American automotive manufacturing supplier that closed in early 2021, taking 100 good-paying Canadian jobs with it. NERVA is honoured to help support the local community, but more importantly to replace ‘non-sustainable’ and ‘old economy’ jobs with ‘green, sustainable work’, to power Canada into a net-zero carbon future.
NERVA and all our employees, associates, and clients celebrated the evening with gourmet food, drinks, and laughter, listening to music performed by Bongo & B and watching a fire presentation by Free Flow Visual Artistry all while appreciating the people that helped build this success. The Violinist was hired through Bongo & B.
On behalf of all those in attendance, Nerva donated $100 per person to Indwell, raising almost $10,000 for Indwell, a Christian charity that creates affordable housing. “We are proud to partner with Indwell on local housing projects to support something most of us take for granted housing and more importantly for people seeking wellness and an affordable community living”, says Rob Hallewick, CEO, Nerva Energy.
“Our grand opening gave us an opportunity to help further support Indwell and create additional awareness as the need for affordable housing increases during the colder months”, adds Hallewick.
Theresa Howe, Community Engagement Manager provided a deeper understanding of Indwell Mission Vision and projects that they are working on. “We are working with people in the community who struggle with well-being and providing sustainable affordable housing communities for them to thrive in”, says Howe, “ were grateful for the donations and the value of the partnership with Nerva”.
